CBI Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • A candidate must be either (i) A Citizen of India or (ii) A subject of Nepal or (iii) A subject of Bhutan or (iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Central Bank of India Apprentice Educational Qualification

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualifications recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • Candidates must have completed Graduation on or after 01.01.2022 onwards. Candidates must produce marksheets and Provisional/Degree certificate issued from the University/College as and when require by the Bank.
  • Period of engagement shall be of 12 months.

Central Bank of India Apprentice Age limit

  • Min: 20 Years and Max: 28 years
  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than 31.05.1998 and not later than 31.05.2006 (both
  • days inclusive) Maximum age indicated is for unreserved and EWs candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.

Central Bank Of India Apprentice 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualifications recognized as such by the Central Government .

Age (as on 31.05.2025)

  • The prescribed age limit as per the CBI ZBO Recruitment 2025 for Zonal Based Officers is not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as of 30th November 2024 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 30.11.2003 and not earlier than 01.12.1992 (both days inclusive). Age relaxation will also be provided to the reserved categories.

  • The application fee for PwBD category candidates is ₹400/-+GST. For Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe / All Women candidates/EWS category candidates, the application fee is ₹600/- + GST and for all other candidates, the application fee is ₹800/- + GST.     Central Bank Of India Apprentice 2025: Selection Process

    • The selection process comprises of online examination to be conducted by BFSI SSC and Test of Local Language of the State. The number of questions to be asked is 100 and the maximum marks is 100. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests.
    • The candidates applying for training seats of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State.
    • Candidates found suitable for engagement based on the merit list after successful document verification shall be issued digital apprenticeship contracts through the government apprenticeship portals.

    • Candidates can only apply online; other methods will not be accepted. If you have any issues during registration, refer to the help manual available on the portal. The Candidate User Manual is also included in the official notification PDF.
      • Register on Apprenticeship Portal: Register on the Government’s apprenticeship portal, NATS Portal. Go to the “Student Register/Login” section to register. Make sure to remember your login ID and password for the apprenticeship portal, as you will need them for future steps throughout the apprenticeship program.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Educational Qualification

    • The candidate applying for the announced vacancies must have completed B.E. / B. Tech. in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications / Electronics & Communications / Data Science / MCA / M.Sc. Computers and the candidate should be between the ages of 22 and 35 years (maximum and minimum age as per the position candidates are applying).       • Merit list for final selection will be prepared in descending order of scores obtained in interview only, subject to candidate scoring minimum qualifying marks.
