Eligibility Criteria for RRC Central Railway Sports Quota 2026
Educational Qualification
- Level - 5/4: Minimum Graduation in any faculty from a recognized University.
- Level - 3/2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) OR its Equivalent Examination from recognized Board. OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship. OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- Level - 1: 10th Pass from recognized Board OR ITI OR Equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- Note:
- Persons if appointed to the category of Clerk-cum-Typist should acquire Typing proficiency Test of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within a period of four years from the date of appointment and till such time their appointments to this category will be provisional.
- Candidates possessing higher qualification should produce graduation/post-graduation certificate at the time of DV & trial.

- Represented the country in Olympics Games (Senior Category), OR
- At least 3rd position in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior), OR
- At least 3rd position in World Championships (Junior/Senior), OR
- At least 3rd position in Asian Games (Senior), OR
- At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Games (Senior), OR
- At least 3rd position in Youth Olympics, OR
- At least 3rd position in Champions Trophy (Hockey).
- For Levels 3/2:
- Represented in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior), OR
- Represented in World Championships (Junior/Senior), OR
- Represented in Asian Games (Senior), OR
- Represented in Commonwealth Games (Senior), OR
- Represented in Youth Olympics, OR
- Represented in Asian Championships (Senior/Junior), OR
- Represented in Commonwealth Championships (Senior/Junior), OR
- At least 3rd position in Senior National Championships, OR
- At least 3rd position in Junior National Championships, OR
- At least 3rd position in Federation Cup (Senior).
- For Level 1:
- Participation in Senior National Championships, OR

- Note: Sports performance will be adjudged based on participation in sports events held on or after 01/04/2024.
Age limit
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2027. Candidates born between 01/01/2002 and 01/01/2009 (both days inclusive) should only apply. Candidates born on or before 31/12/2001 are not eligible. Similarly, candidates born on or after 02/01/2009 are also not eligible. (No relaxation in lower or upper age limit for any Community of candidate).
Application Fee
- General and OBC Candidates: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 will be refunded to those who are found eligible and actually appear in the selection trial).
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minorities/EBC Candidates: Rs. 250 (The full amount of Rs. 250 will be refunded to those who appear in the trial).
RRC CR Sports Quota 2026 Selection Process
- RC CR Sports Quota Selection Process 2026 is based on trials and sports certificates.
- Document Verification & Trials: Candidates will be called for document checking and actual field trials.
- Trial Evaluation: Candidates must score a minimum of 25 out of 40 marks in the game skill and fitness test to be declared FIT. Unfit candidates will be eliminated.
- Final Assessment: Fit candidates will be evaluated out of a total of 100 marks.
