NIACL AO Education Qualification
- Generalists: Graduate/Post-graduate in any discipline from a recognised University at least 60% marks in either of the degree exams for General candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates
- Accounts: Chartered Accountant (ICAI)/ Cost and Management Accountant (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, earlier known as ICWAI) and Graduation/Postgraduation in any discipline with min 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) Or MBA Finance/PGDM Finance/ M.Com with min 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD)
NIACL AO Age Limit (as on 01/08/2025)
- The candidate should be of age group 21 to 30 years (for the general candidate) to apply for NIACL AO 2025. The candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1995 and not later than 1st August 2004 (both dates inclusive).
NIACL AO 2025 Application Fee
- An Application Fee has to be submitted during the online application process for NIACL AO 2025 Exam. All Payments are needed to be done online either through Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
- Category Application Fee
- Candidates other than SC/ST/PwD Category: Rs. 850/-
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Rs. 100/-
Steps to Apply Online for NIACL AO Recruitment 2025
- Once the online application process is active, the interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications by following the below steps:
- Step-1: Visit the official website of New India Assurance Co. Ltd. @newindia.co.in
- Step-2: On the homepage, click on the “Recruitment” section appearing at the top of the page.
- Step-3: A new page appears on your screen with all the recruitments for NIACL.
- Step-4: Click on “Recruitment of Administrative Officer (Scale I) 2025-26”.
- Step-5: Click on the “New Sign-Up” button and generate a new registration number & password.
- Step-6: Now, click on the “Apply Online” link with the generated registration number.
- Step-7: Fill in all the details, pay the application fee, and upload documents as required.
- Step-8: Click on “Submit” and download the application form for future use.

NIACL AO 2025 Selection Process
- NIACL will select the Administrative Officer based on their performance in three different stages such as Phase 1, Phase 2 and Interview.
NIACL Administrative Officer Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2025
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This would consist of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Total Marks: 100
- English Language - Maximum Marks: 30
- Reasoning Ability - Maximum Marks: 35
- Quantitative Aptitude - Maximum Marks: 35
- Candidates have to qualify in each test/section by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Company (approximately 15 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
- Phase – II: Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
- Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2.5 hours’ duration will be as follows. There will be separate timing for every section.
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Total Marks: 200
- Test of Reasoning - Maximum Marks: 50
- Test of English Language - Maximum Marks: 50
- Test of General Awareness - Maximum Marks: 50
- Test of Quantitative Aptitude - Maximum Marks: 50
- Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes’ duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.
- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for short listing for the Interview. Qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be as follows: 15/30 (13.5/30 for SC, ST and PwBD).
- Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination): There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. Each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question
- Phase – III: Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centres. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 75:25 respectively.
- Final selection: Final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview.
