Educational Qualification

  • Mining Engineer: B.E. / Diploma in Mining

  • Prior Experience: Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship elsewhere are not eligible to apply.
  • Stipend: Paid as per the prescribed rate under the Apprenticeship Act.
  • Online Portal Registration: Candidates selected under the Apprenticeship Act must register/contract on the official apprenticeship portal. Failure to complete this process will lead to automatic cancellation of candidature.

Educational Qualification

  • Sr. Manager – Plant:  Should possess a minimum of 15 years relevant experience with a B. Tech. Metallurgy/Chemical/Mineral processing qualification with at least 60% marks.   • Sr. Manager/Manager – Lab: Should possess a minimum 15/12 years of experience with a B. Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry qualification with at least 60% marks, along with strong analytical knowledge in Inorganic Chemistry. A candidate also has a minimum of 2 years experience in leading a NABL-accredited lab, with exposure to ISO standards will be preferred.
  • Lab supervisor/Sr. Chemist: Should possess a minimum of 8 years experience with B. Sc./ M.Sc Chemistry qualification with at least 60% marks and knowledge of Inorganic Chemistry. A candidate with experience in Lab management will be preferred. 
  • Manager – Quality Plant: Should possess a minimum of 12 years relevant experience with B. Tech, Metallurgy/Chemical/Mineral processing qualification with at least 60% marks. Or, should possess a minimum of 9 years relevant experience with B. Tech. and M. Tech Metallurgy / Chemical/ Mineral processing qualifications with at least 60% marks
  • Sr. Process Engineer (Assistant Manager): Should possess a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience with B. Tech. Metallurgy/Chemical/Mineral processing qualification with at least 60% marks. Or, should possess a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in a Mineral processing plant, along with a B. Sc. qualification with at least 60% marks and knowledge of Crushing, Grinding, Froth flotation and Dewatering
  • Mineral processing Engineer: Should possess a minimum of 57 years’ experience at Ore dressing laboratory with B. Tech, Mineral processing qualification with at least 60% marks. Applicant must have knowledge to set up an Ore dressing lab, and have experience in conducting laboratory trials for reagents and helping the processing plant in optimisation.
  • Electrical Manager: Should possess a minimum of 12 years’ experience with B. Tech, Electrical qualification with at least 60% marks. Applicant must have relevant experience in leading the plant and mine for electrical and instrument requirements, and maintenance. Knowledge and experience of solar power projects will be an added advantage.
  • Environment Manager: Should possess a B. Tech. (Environment) / M.Sc. (Environment) qualification with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the environment field. Candidate should also have exposure to all environmental laws in conjunction with requirements of mining and pollution control. Exposure to ISO standard requirements and implementation will be preferred.
  • Safety Manager: possess a minimum of 8 years’ experience in relevant field, be well Should versed with Mining and Factory laws, and be either a Graduate or a Post Graduate. Applicant must be well versed with safety standards, applicable to mines and plants. Exposure to ISO standard requirements and implementation will be preferred.
  • Program Manager: GMDC – GVT at Ahmedabad

  • General Manager (Coal Projects):
    • Ideal candidates would be Graduate Mining Engineer from a reputed institute, possessing First-Class Mines Manager’s Certificate (Coal). 
    • 20+ years of experience in managing Coal Mining Projects.
    • Possess at least 5 years of leadership experience in the development of Coal Mines in India (i.e. from Greenfield project stage to production stage).
    • Work experience must include demonstrated 10 years of managing the open cast coal mining projects with a minimum PRC of 10 MTPA, plus in necessary work streams like land acquisition, R&R and key stakeholder management.
    • Detailed and practical knowledge of EC, FC processes for the mine opening is desired.
    • Must have experience in pursuing necessary permissions, NOCs and Clearances from respective government departments together with managing third party consultants.
    • Should be well versed in software like Minex, Datamine and MS Projects to work with Public and Private Sector Clients. 
    • Additional qualifications related to Project Management and Finance will be preferred.
    • Experience in Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh will be an added dvantage.
  • Project Officer (IT under GMDC-GVT): B. Tech./B.E. in IT/ MCA/BCA or equivalent and having 5 or more years of experience of the web portal management/ Data Management/ MIS handling of substantial sized programmes.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • IT Infra Expert: 
    • Candidate should have a University degree, with post graduate technical or management qualifications or other relevant experience. 
    • The candidate should have 12+ years of experience in the field of Design, Implement, Manage & Audit of IT Infrastructure projects, Datacentre infrastructure, Server & Storage Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure (LAN and WAN), Security Solutions (include but not limited to Firewall, Antivirus, IPS), Backup Solution, Cloud Solutions (Private and Public), CCTV Surveillance.
    • Candidate Should have experience of implementing one Project having Data Centre, Server & Storage, Network for Head Office and branch offices not less than 10, Security Solutions (Firewall & Antivirus) ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management / PMP will be advantage.
  • Oracle ERP Expert: 
    • Candidate should have a University degree, with post graduate technical or management qualifications or other relevant experience. 
    • The candidate should have 12+ years of experience in Oracle products including Technical / Functional and Project/Program Management experience and have a track record in delivering large-scale global Application or infrastructure/database projects. Experience of implementing Minimum One Project in Oracle ERP Project for Mining Sector having modules i.e. Finance & Accounting, Sales Project Management, Procurement, Asset Management, HRMS and Business Intelligence Modules. 
    • Should have experience of implementing one Project of Oracle ERP in Mining Sector having modules 1) Production, 2) Dispatch, 3) Sales & Costing, 4) Finance & Accounting. Oracle ERP Certified / ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management / PMP will be advantage.

Selection Process

  • A Selection Committee will scrutinize the applications and short list the candidates based on merits. The short-listed candidates will be called for Interview ( TA will be given as applicable to GMDC’s employees ) or be interviewed through Video Conferencing as decided by GMDC.

Educational Qualification

  • Manager (will report to the General Manager (Corporate Coordination)): Candidate should have a degree in Mining Engineering with 1st Class Competency Certificate/ 2nd Class Competency Certificate (Coal/Metal) and having minimum 5+ years of experience. Prior experience of leading large teams, with a track record of team development. A strong prior track record of running productivity/cost efficient operations at plant level. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. 
  • Manager (will report to the General Manager (PP & D) at Corporate Office.): Candidate should have a degree in Mining Engineering with 1st Class Competency Certificate (Coal/Metal) and having minimum 15+ years of experience. Additional Qualification of Chartered Accountancy (i.e. Fellow Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) and Knowledge of various mineral laws, forest laws, environment laws, mining laws, etc. and its applicability for development of new mining projects shall be preferred. Prior experience of leading large teams, with a track record of team development. A strong prior track record of running productivity / cost efficient operations at plant level. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

Age limit

  • Not more than 35 years (Manager (will report to the GM (Corporate Coordination))
  • Not more than 52 years (Manager (will report to the GM (PP & D) at Corporate Office.)

Selection Process
