Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced 437 vacant posts to be filled through the Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2025. The detailed SSC JHT Notification 2025 has been released on 5th June 2025 along with application forms at www.ssc.gov.in. Through the recruitment drive, the SSC has announced a total of 437 vacancies for Group B Non-Gazetted posts, including Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator.

SSC JHT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
SSC JHT 2025 Educational Qualification
- Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator: Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

SSC JHT 2025 Age limit
- For the post of Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF: The crucial date for determining the age-limit shall be the closing date for the receipt of application from candidates . The age limit for the post is 18-30 years as on closing date of receipt of online application, i.e., candidates born not before 25-06-1995 and not later than 26-06-2007.
- For all other posts: The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2025 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 140l7/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. The age limits for other posts are: 18 to 30 years as on 01-08-2025, i.e., candidates born not before 02-08-1995 and not later than 01-08-2007 are eligible to apply.
SSC JHT 2025 Application Fee
- The application fee is ₹100/-. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit card. Online fee can be paid by candidates up to June 27, 2025.
SSC JHT 2025 Selection Process
- The examination will consist of two papers. Paper-I will consist of Objective Type Multiple choice questions only. Based on the marks scored in the Paper-I; i.e., Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Paper-II (Descriptive Paper).
Steps to Apply for SSC JHT 2025
- The candidates willing to apply for SSC JHT 2025 Exam must submit their duly filled application forms at official website. Follow the below steps to know the complete registration process.
- Visit the SSC official website.
- SSC Homepage appears on the screen, then click on the ‘Apply’ option.
- Search for the link- ‘Junior Translator Examination’. Click on the link.
- You get a ‘Login to Apply for the Examination’ prompt. Click on ‘OK’.
- You are redirected back to the SSC homepage, where you find the Login section. If you are a new user or haven’t registered your account, then click on ‘Register Now’ and enter all your details on the next page to generate your registration number and password, else login with your pre-registered details.
- Now, fill out the Application/Registration form very carefully. All the details filled in should be correct.
- Then, attach the required scanned documents and finally review the detailed filled-in application form.
- After reviewing the Application form, pay the required application fee fees using the online payment gateway. Finally, download the application form and take out a printout for future reference.
