GSRTC Mechanic Helper Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship Requirements

A citizen of India.
A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in the country.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated with the intention of permanently settling in India from countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries (such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, or Ethiopia) and Vietnam.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess at least a 1-year ITI pass certificate in any of the following government-recognized trades

Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Mechanic Diesel / General Mechanic / Fitter / Turner
Electrician / Sheet Metal Worker / Auto Body Repairer / Welder / Welder cum Fabricator

Machinist / Carpenter / Painter General / Auto Painting Repairer

Preference Weightage: Candidates who completed NCVT Apprenticeship in the exact same ITI trade get an additional 10% weightage during final selection.
