MGVCL VS Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidate must possess a Degree through Regular Mode in B.E. /B.Tech. (Civil), without ATKT in the last year or last two semesters from a recognized University duly approved by UGC/AICTE.
- Candidate should have a minimum average of 55% marks in the last year/ last two semesters.
- In case of degrees i.e. equivalent to the B.E./B.Tech (Civil) are also considered as per the latest list notified by UGC/AICTE. In such case, the candidate has to mandatorily submit the equivalence certificate issued by competent authority of respective University.
- The candidate should possess knowledge of Computer Operations.
- Good command over English and Gujarati Language.
Age limit
- For Unreserved Category : 35 years and For Reserved Category (Inclusive EWS): 40 years on the date of advertisement.
- The date of Birth shall be reckoned for all categories as on publication of Advertisement i.e.as on 15/07/2025.
Application Fee (Non-Refundable)
- Rs.500.00/- UR and SEBC candidates and Rs.250.00/- for ST Candidates. Candidate has to pay application fees On-line through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking. Bank charges shall be borne by candidate. Application fee once paid shall not be refunded or shall not be adjusted in any subsequent Recruitment Process, under any circumstances. No other mode of payment i.e., Demand Draft, Money Order, Postal Order, Cheque etc. is acceptable.
MGVCL VS Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
- The selection for Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer-Civil) will involve a two-tiered examination process: a First Tier Computer-Based Test (CBT) for 100 marks, followed by a Second Tier Computer-Based Test (CBT), also for 100 marks, for qualified candidates. Successful candidates from the CBT stages will then proceed to mandatory Document Verification before final selection.
MGVCL VS Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
- The syllabus for the exam shall consist of, but not limited to, following topics/areas and emphasis could differ.
- 1st Tier Examination: The Question Paper will be in English and Gujarati Language except the questions asked for Gujarati Subject.
- Reasoning - 15 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude - 15 Marks
- English (Usage and Vocabulary, Synonyms and Antonyms, Word substitutes in a sentence, Idiom (Fill in the blanks, Error spotting / Right usage of words in a sentence): 20 Marks
- Gujarati (રુઢિ પ્રયોગો / કહેવતો ના અર્થ અને વાક્ય પ્રયોગો, શબ્દ સમુહ માટે એક શબ્દ, જોડણી શુદ્ધિ, સમાનાર્થી / વિરુદ્ધાર્થી શબ્દ, લેખન શુદ્ધિ/ ભાષા શુદ્ધિ): 20 Marks
- General Knowledge (Current Affairs of National and International importance, Indian Polity and Governance, Geography of India, Modern Indian History, General Science and Technology, Economics): 10 Marks
- Computer knowledge: 20 Marks
- 2nd Tier Examination: The Question Paper will be in English and Gujarati Language only.

- The question paper for the exam shall be consisting of 100 questions and the paper shall be of 100 marks. There shall be negative marking system and 1/4 mark for each wrong answer shall be deducted to arrive at total marks scored for both the tiers of examination.
