UPSC IFS Prelims 2025

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2025. The online registration process has begun for the Indian Forest Service 2025 prelims exam. The last date to submit the application form is February 11, 2025. "Candidates applying for the Indian Forest Service Examination should note that they are required to appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and qualify the same to proceed to the second stage of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (written and interview). Candidates desirous of applying for both the Indian Forest Service Examination and the Civil Services Examination can apply through a common online application form, subject to meeting the requisite eligibility criteria."

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. 

Age limit

  • A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August, 2025, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1991 and not later than 1st August, 2002. 

Application Fee

  • Candidates applying (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit card. 

Selection Process

  • The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages: (i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.

UPSC IFS Prelims Results 2023

Union Public Service Commission - UPSC  has declared the Indian Forest Service Prelims Result 2023. UPSC conducted the Indian Forest Services 2023 Prelims Exam on 28th May 2023. Eventually, UPSC declared the result for the same on 12th June 2023. So candidates can check the UPSC IFS Prelims Result 2023 from the official link at the end of this article. Candidates can stay tuned with JobsCloud for Competitive exam notifications, exam dates, syllabus, previous question papers, sarkari results, cut-off marks.

Shortlisted candidates are advised to fill out the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) online. The dates for filling up the DAF-I will be informed shortly on the website of the Union Public Service Commission www.upsconline.nic.in.

UPSC IFS Prelims 2023

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the detailed notification for the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 today, February 01, 2023. Along with the notification, the UPSC IFS Prelims Application form 2023 will also be published. Candidates who wish to apply for the exam can fill up and submit the application forms available on the official website of the Union Public Service Commission – upsc.gov.in. The last date to apply is February 21.

Union Public Service Commission - UPSC  has declared the Indian Forest Service Prelims Result 2022. UPSC conducted the Indian Forest Services 2022 Prelims Exam on 05th June 2022. The candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I). for IFoS (Main) Examination, 2022. The dates and important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and its submission will be announced in due course on the website of the Commission.
