Selection Process
- The selection process for GSECL Recruitment 2025 for Vidyut Sahayak (JE - Electrical / Mechanical) and Instrument Mechanic posts is primarily a multi-stage process focusing on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) - Two Tiers:
- The recruitment process involves two tiers of online Computer-Based Tests. Both tiers carry 100 marks each.
- First Tier Examination (100 Marks):
- This is a general aptitude test.
- Syllabus (Tentative):
- Reasoning: 25 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Marks
- English: 15 Marks
- Computer Knowledge: 20 Marks
- Gujarati Language & Grammar: 15 Marks
- Qualifying Marks:
- Unreserved Category: 50 marks or more
- Reserved Category: 45 marks or more
- Candidates must qualify in the first tier to be considered for the second tier.
- Second Tier Examination (100 Marks):
- This tier assesses technical knowledge relevant to the specific post (Electrical Engineering for JE Electrical, Mechanical Engineering for JE Mechanical, and Instrumentation & Control for Instrument Mechanic).
- Candidates who clear the first tier with the required marks will be shortlisted for this examination.
- The question paper will be in English and Gujarati.
- There will be a negative marking system, with 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Document Verification and Pre-employment Medical Examination:
- Candidates who successfully qualify in both tiers of the Computer-Based Test will be called for document verification.
