HCG District Judge Recruitment 2020

High Court of Gujarat - HCG invites online applications from the eligible Advocates for filling up 34 (existing & Future) vacancies in the cadre of District Judges in the pay-scale of Rs. 51,650-63,260+Allowances, as admissible under the Rules. Eligible candidates can apply for this recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

25% Direct Judge:

Candidate must possess a Degree in Law from a University recognized by law in India.
Candidate must be a practising Advocate in Courts of Civil and/or Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for submission of Online Applications and must have so practiced for a period not less than Seven Years, as on the last date fixed for submission of the Online Application i.e. on 21/03/2020.
Candidate must possess Basic Knowledge of Computer Application / Operation, as set out by the Government of Gujarat in General Administration Department Resolution No. PRCH1020051532K, dated 30/09/2006 and No. CRR102007120320 G.5, dated 13/08/2008.

10% Direct Judge:

A Judicial Officer must have completed five years’ qualifying service, as Senior Civil Judge, in the Gujarat Judicial Service, as on 30/04/2020.

Age limit

A candidate must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 48 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, Orthopedically Disabled Persons and Exservicemen and 45 years in the case of General Candidates, as on the last date fixed for submission of the Online Application, i.e. on 21/03/2020.

Application Fee

The candidates belonging to General Category are required to pay Examination Fees of Rs.1,500/ plus Bank Charges whereas Rs.750/ plus Bank Charges are required to paid by the Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, Orthopedically Disabled Persons and ExServicemen Categories via “Print Application / Pay Fee” Button through SBI ePay, provided on the webpage of HCOJAS Portal.
