Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • Police Inspector (PI): A candidate shall hold a Bachelor’s degree of any University incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State Legislature in India or other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
  • Agricultural Officer: (1) Possess a bachelor’s degree in Science (Agriculture) obtained from any of the Agricultural universities incorporated or established by or under the Central Agriculture universities Act or a State Agriculture universities Act in India (2) Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. (3) Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules,1967. 
  • Gujarat Engineer Service: (1) The Candidate shall possess a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Bachelor of Technology (Civil) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; Provided that the candidate who has appeared at a degree examination, the passing of which would render him educationally qualified for the Examination mentioned in sub-rule 1, but the result is not declared, shall also be eligible for admission to the Preliminary Examination. All candidates who are declared qualified by the commission for appearing in the Main Examination shall be required to produce proof of passing the degree examination along with their application for the Main Examination. The candidate who fails to produce proof of passing the degree examination shall not be eligible for admission to Main Examination. (2) Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. (3) Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both 
  • Assistant Lecturer (Various Subjects): Possess a post graduate degree with at least 55 % of the marks or at least its equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C,D, E and F at the master degree level in relevant subject of any of the University established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized by the Government or declared deemed to be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or possess an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government.

Age limit

  • Police Inspector (PI): 20 to 35 years
  • Agricultural Officer: Not more than 35 years
  • Gujarat Engineer Service: 20 to 35 years
  • Assistant Lecturer (Various Subjects): Not more than 40 years.

Selection Process

  • Police Inspector: Final Selection for PI Recruitment will be based on four stages: (I) Preliminary Exam (II) Physical Test (III) Main Exam (IV) Interview.
  • Agricultural Officer: Final Selection for Agricultural Officer Recruitment will be based on two stages: (I) Preliminary Exam (II) Interview.
  • Gujarat Engineer Service: Final Selection for GES Recruitment will be based on three stages: (I) Preliminary Exam (II) Main Exam (III) Interview.
