  • Junior Inspector: Pass in Class 12 or equivalent with 3 Years’ experience in purchase / sale of raw jute; its grading and assorting / bailing / storage / transportation

Age limit

  • 30 years (as on 01.12.2021)

  • Sub-Officer: HSC (10+2) (Science with Chemistry) or equivalent 50% marks Passed Sub-Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur. 12 yeans (05 years as Leading Fireman) experience out of which at least 2 years relevant experience must be after obtaining the requisite qualification. OR 15 years relevant experience as Fireman/Driver- cum- Operator out of which at least 2 years relevant experience.
  • Driver: Pass in tenth (Class 10th) standard; Possession of a valid driving licence to drive light and heavy vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism (candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle) Consolidated experience in driving a light or heavy vehicle for at least 03 years.
  • Work Assistant: Pass in tenth (Class 10th) standard. 
  • Canteen Attendant: Matriculation (Class 10th) or equivalent from a recognized board or institute.
  • Stipendiary Trainee Category-I: 
    • Physics: B.Sc with minimum 60% marks (Physics as principle and  Mathematics / Chemistry / Statistics / Electronics Computer Science as subsidiary subjects).
    • Electronics/ Mechanical/Civil: Diploma in relevant field.
  • Stipendiary Trainee Category-II
    • Physics/Computer: SSC (Class 10th) with minimum 60% marks in Trade Certificate of not less than two years i the relevant trade. OR HSC in Science stream with a minimum of 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry.
    • Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical/Machinist/Fitter/Refrigeration/Air Conditioning: SSC (with Science and Math) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate PLUS Trade certificate in relevant trade. The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificates. NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration. OR NAC of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme. OR NTC (TI pass out) of one year duration plus one year relevant work experience after the completion of course. OR NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

Age limit

  • Minimum 18 Years to Maximum 30 Years

  • Security Officer: 21 to 40 years and All Other posts: 21 to 30 years

  • UR/EWS/OBC – Rs.1180/- and SC/ST/PWD – Rs.118/- . Candidates have the option of making the payment of requisite fees / intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only.

Selection Process

  • Selection Process for Security Officer: The selection will be made on the basis of Interview onlyand the candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 3 to 5 times of the number of vacancies, as per Bank’s decision. Minimum pass marks in the interview will be 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) out of a total 100 marks. Based on interview marks, Merit/ Final Select list will be drawn. 
  • Selection Process for Engineers, Economist, Statistician, IT Officers& Chartered: Accountant/CFA The candidates shall be required to appear for online examination to be conducted through IBPS. The successful candidates shall be called for interview.

  • For Category (2) -> Represented the country in World Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games (Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) OR at least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category) or USIC (World Railway) Championships (Senior Category) OR at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR at least 3rd position in National Games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR at least 3rd position in All India Inter-University Championships organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

How to Apply

  • Eligible Candidates apply in the prescribed application format. Separate application for each category as per prescribed application format to be sent, in a closed envelope super scribed 'APPLICATION FOR SPORTS QUOTA RECRUITMENT FOR THE YEAR 2018-2019' by post to "The Chairman, Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway, 56, C.R. Avenue, RITES Building, 1st Floor, Kolkata - 700012" OR to be dropped in the box placed at ground floor in front of the Eastern Railway Sports Association's (ERSA) Office at the said address during office hours except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
