Indian Navy Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate must have minimum 60% marks in English in class X or XII and one of the undermentioned educational qualification with minimum 60% overall qualifying marks, in either or a combination of the following: -
    • MSc / BE / B Tech / M Tech (Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Systems / Cyber Security / System Administration & Networking / Computer Systems & Networking / Data Analytics / Artificial Intelligence), OR
    • MCA with BCA / BSc (Computer Science / Information Technology).
  • NCC Candidates: NCC ‘C’ certificate holders will be given relaxation of 5% in cut off marks towards shortlisting for SSB subject to meeting the following criteria:- 
    • Having NCC ‘C’ certificate of Naval / Army / Air Wing with minimum ‘B’ Grade.
    • Served for not less than two academic years in the Senior Division, Naval / Army / Air Wing of the NCC.
    • ‘C’ certificate should not be dated prior to 01 Jan 2023.
    • The final selection will be subject to verification of the certificate issued by DG NCC / concerned NCC unit for its validity.
  • Candidature of individual will be cancelled at any stage of selection/ training / post commissioning, in case of false declaration, misinformation, concealing of information.

Age limit

  • Born Between 02 Jan 2001 to 01 Jul 2006. 

Application Fee

  • The application may be uploaded from Common Service Centres (CSC) across the country, against a fixed fees of Rs 60 + GST. This facility is entirely optional.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

  • The selection procedure is as follows: -
    • Shortlisting of application will be based on normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formula/ methodology mentioned on the website.
    • BE / B Tech. For candidates who have completed or are in final year of BE / B Tech, marks obtained upto fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.
    • Post-Graduate Degree Programme. For candidates who have completed MSc / MCA / M Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For final year students pursuing MSc / MCA / M Tech, marks obtained till pre-final year will be considered.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their shortlisting for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail / mobile number till selection process is over.
    • Change of SSB Centre for examination / interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
    • Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from NHQ / DMPR via SMS / email (provided by candidate in their application). Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter.
    • No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interview.
    • AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, for SSB.
  • Merit List: Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification, character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2025 How to Apply

  • Candidates are to register and submit their application on the recruitment website  from 02 August 2025 to 17 August 2025. Save time during the application submission, candidates can fill in their details and upload documents in advance under their user profile. The procedure for applying online.

 STAGE – I (INET – Computer Based online examination)

  • Shortlisting:
    • All India computer-based examination- INET would be conducted for Shortlisting of candidates.
    • Shortlisting would be based on marks obtained in the Indian Navy Entrance Test.
    • Shortlisting will be carried out in state wise manner.
    • The cut-off marks for shortlisting for the next stage of the selection process may vary from state to state.
  • Computer-based Examination:
    • The question paper will be computer-based with a total of 100 questions, each
    • carrying 01 mark each.
    • The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).
    • The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness.
    • The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2.
    • The syllabus & sample papers for the examination are available on the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/ and https://agniveernavy.cdac.in.
    • The duration of the examination will be one hour.
    • The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate.
    • The Indian Navy reserves the right to determine the pass marks in each Section and in aggregate.
    • Negative Marking: For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.

STAGE – II (Written Examination, PFT & Recruitment Medical)

  • Candidates shortlisted in INET examination (computer-based online examination) will be issued a call-up letter for Stage II (written examination, PFT & Recruitment Medical). Stage II will be conducted in the designated Indian Navy‟s centers.
  • The syllabus for Stage-II written exam is available on the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/ https://agniveernavy.cdac.in. Aadhar Card is mandatory for Stage II.

Indian Navy Chargeman Recruitment 2023 Syllabus

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation relation concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include question design to test the candidate abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.
  • General Awareness: It would include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to current events of national and international importance, sports, history, culture, geography, economics, general policy including Indian constitution and general science etc. These questions will be such that they do not require special study of any discipline.
  • English Language: In addition to the testing of candidates understanding of English language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc. His/her writing ability would also be tested.
  • Numerical Aptitude: This paper will include question on problems relating to number systems, computations of whole number, decimal and fraction and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ration and proportion, average, interest, profit and loss, discount, time and distance, ration and time, time and work etc.

Application Fee

Selection Process

  • The selection procedure is as follows:-
    • Shortlisting of application will be based on the preference of entries and normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalized using formulae mentioned on the Join Indian Navy website.
    • BE/B.Tech. For candidates who have completed or are in the final year of BE/B.Tech, marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.
    • Non-Engineering Degree Programme. For candidates who have completed MCA, MBA, MA, M.Sc, B.Sc, and B.Com, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For candidates who are in their final year, shortlisting will be based on pre-final year performance.
    • Candidates selected in the final merit list will be required to submit the proof of completing the qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% of marks by sending an email at the address officer@navy.gov.in . Candidates failing to meet the criteria will not be permitted to join the Academy.
    • No communication will be entertained in this regard.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through email or SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/mobile number till the selection process is over.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of India.

Age limit

  • Candidates should be born between 01 Oct 2000 to 30 Sep 2003 (Both dates inclusive).

Application Fee

  • The MR application fee will be of Rs.205/- for all candidates.
  • SC & ST applicants do not require to pay the application fee. Because they are exempted for a fee.
