Indian Army TES 54 Selection Process

The selection procedure involves multiple stages:

Shortlisting of Applications: The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) will shortlist applications based on the JEE (Mains) CRL Rank. Cut-off criteria will be decided by the Army without assigning any reason.
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at one of the selection centers (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar). The SSB is a two-stage process conducted over five days.
Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Candidates who clear Stage I will proceed to Stage II.
Stage II: Comprises Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, and an Interview.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after Stage II of the SSB will undergo a medical examination at a Military Hospital.
Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based only on the marks obtained by the candidates in the SSB interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Minimum 55% aggregate marks in their LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10 plus 2) examination. In addition, CLAT PG 2024 Score is mandatory for all candidates (including LLM qualified and LLM appearing candidates) who apply for courses starting in a particular year. The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.
Note 1: Only those candidates who are holding LLB degree and Marksheet are eligible to apply for this course provided they meet other educational qualifications mentioned at para 2(c) above.
Note 2: All candidates desirous of applying for JAG Entry are mandatorily required to get their CLAT PG 2024 result verified at the Selection Centre prior to conduct of SSB. If any candidate is unwilling/ is unable to get the CLAT PG 2024 result verified, he /she will not be eligible for SSB and their candidature will be cancelled and no representation will be accepted. It is also informed that there is no provision for offline application to be accepted by the Directorate General of Recruiting.

Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Candidate studying in the final year of Engg degree course should be able to submit proof of passing by 01 July 2023 and produce the Engg Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA). Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at IMA as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

For NCC 'C' Certificate Holders:

Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree course respectively. Such students will need to secure overall aggregate of minimum 50% marks in degree course if selected in interview, failing which their candidature will be CANCELLED.
(ab) Service in NCC. Should have served for minimum two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wg of NCC.
(ac) Grading. Should have obtained minimum of ‘B' Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants, who are not holding NCC ‘C’ Certificate on date of application, are not eligible to apply for the course.

For Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel:

(aa) Eligibility Criteria. The vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Battle casualties specified as:-

(aaa) Killed in action.
(aab) Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted).
(aac) Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted).
(aad) Missing, presumed dead.

(ab) Educational Qualification. Degree of a recognized university or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.
(ac) NCC 'C' certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

Centre Allotment: After shortlisting of applications, the centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email. After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will 10 have to login to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come first serve basis initially. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Soldier General Duty: Class 10th/Metric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following grading system minimum of ‘D’ grade (33-40) in individual subjects OR grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Soldier Tradesman: Class 10th simple pass. / Class 8th simple pass (For Syce, House Keeper & Mess Keeper).
Soldier Technical: 10+2/Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
Soldier Nursing Assistant / Nursing Assistant Veterinary: 10+2/Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical / Inventory Management: 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce & Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Account/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.

Age limit

Minimum age 17.5 years

Selection Process

Final Selection will be based on physical fitness test / medical test / written exam through CEE.
