Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • 3 year Diploma in Chemical /Refinery & Petrochemical Engg. Or B. Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) from a recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS and OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum one year of post qualification experience in operation (rotating shift)of Pump House, Fired Heater, Compressor, Distillation Column, Reactor, Heat exchanger etc. in a Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemicals /Fertilizer/ Heavy Chemical/ Gas Processing Industry.

Age limit

  • Minimum 18 years and Maximum age shall be 26 years for General, EWS & ST (applying as UR) category candidates.

Application Fee

  • General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates are required to pay Rs.150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty only) as application fee (nonrefundable) through SBI e- collect only. The bank charges, as applicable, have to be borne by the candidate.

Selection Process

  • The selection process will comprise of Written Test and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) which will be of qualifying nature.

After successfully applying/registering online applications, the candidate must take a printout of the filled-in online application form and send it to Dy. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks.(Referred to in Directorate Order No 17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018).
  • Compulsory knowledge of Local Language The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of Constitution of India.List of Official languages of the state.

Age limit

  • The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts shall be 18 and 40 years respectively as on 21.12.2020 the date of notification of the vacancies.

Application Fee

  • Applicant of category OC/OBC/EWS Male / trans-man should pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) for each set of five options. Candidate who requires to make the payment has to visit any Head Post Office or other identified Post Offices in India. Names of the offices are available in the website http://appost.in/gdsonline.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be made as per the automatic generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications. 
  • No weightage will be given for higher educational qualification. Only marks obtained in 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be the criteria for finalizing the selection. Passing of all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory subject to the conditions referred in Clause B of Notifications pertaining to Required Educational Qualifications for taking candidate into account for calculating the merit. 
  • Candidates having both marks and grades in the marks list have to apply with marks only. In case any candidates apply with grades only his application liable for disqualification. iv. In case of the marks lists containing the Grades/ Points, marks will be reckoned by taking conversion of Grades and points with the multiplication factor (9.5) against the maximum points or grade as 100.

  • Jr. Materials Assistant-IV: 3 years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized Institute/University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS and OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved/ identified for PwBD positions.
  • Jr. Nursing Assistant-IV: 4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) or 3 years Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery or Gynecology & Obstetrics from recognized Institute / University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS & OBC candidates & 45% in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.

Age limit

  • Minimum 18 years and Maximum age shall be 26 years

Application Fee

  • General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to pay Rs.150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty only) as application fee (non-refundable) though Online mode (SBI e-Collect) using either Debit/Credit Card or through Net-Banking only. The Bank Charges as applicable have to beorne by the candidates

Selection Process

  • The selection process will comprise of Written Test and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) which will be of qualifying nature. Category-wise and Post-wise Merit list shall be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, only for such candidates who qualify in the SPPT.

Barauni Oil Refinery, Begusarai, Bihar – 851114, along with all supporting documents (as mentioned in the check list attached at Annexure I) & Photograph under self attestation by ordinary post latest by 10-07-2019. Duly signed Printout of online application along with the supporting documents received after 10-07-2019 shall be treated as “Rejected”.
