Eligibility Criteria for GSSSB Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026

Nationality & Citizenship:

Applicants must be an Indian citizen or satisfy the nationality criteria specified under Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services (General) Rules, 1967.

Qualification:

(i) A degree of B.Sc.(Nursing) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council; or (ii) a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery obtained from an institution recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council;
possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967: and
possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. “The candidate appointed on the basis of the result of a competitive examination held for the purpose shall be required to get himself registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council under the Gujarat Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitor’s Act. 1968 at the time of his appointment on the basis of the result of a competitive examination held for purpose, if he is not so registered.”

Age limit:
