Eligibility Criteria for GSSSB Assistant Recruitment 2026

Nationality & Citizenship:

Applicants must be an Indian citizen or satisfy the nationality criteria specified under Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services (General) Rules, 1967.

Qualification:

possess a Post graduate degree or a Bachelor's degree with Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Business Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Advanced Statistics as a principal subject obtained from any University established or incorporated by or under the State Act in india ; or any educational institution recognised as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956;
possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services and Recruitment (General) Rules 196; and
possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages.

Age limit:

Candidates applying for the GSSSB Sanitary Inspector recruitment must be between 18 and 37 years of age as of 23/09/2026.

General: ₹500 (Preliminary Exam)
Reserved, Women, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwD, Ex-Servicemen: ₹400 (Preliminary Exam)
