Educational Qualification & Age limit

Dredger Assistant:

Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from recognized institute / university.
Experience:

03 years experience in tidal port/ dredging operations.
Knowledge in dredging techniques, equipment, safety protocol, tender works.
Computer knowledge essential
Should know swimming

Age limit: 25-35 years as on 1/7/2026

Asstt. Hydrographic Surveyor:

Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized institute / university.
Experience:

03 years’ experience in Hydrographic surveying, reading of Tide Gauges.
Expertise in reduction of sounding, latest Hydrographic survey software
Computer knowledge essential
Should know swimming

Age limit: 25-35 years as on 1/7/2026

Scientific Assistant (Meteorological):

Qualification: B.Sc. in Physics from recognized institute/ university.
Experience:

01-year experience in meteorological observations.
Reading of Tidal Chart, meteorological equipment, sensors etc...
Computer knowledge essential

Age limit: 20-30 years as on 1/7/2026

Topaz / Marine Helpers:

Qualification:

Education – 7 th Std. Pass (Middle School)
Height – 5’3” , Chest – 30”, Expanded – 32”
Should know Swimming

Experience: Selection by Swimming

Deendayal Port Authority Selection Process 2026

The candidates applying for the post at Sr.No.01, 02 & 03 will be initially shortlisted purely on the basis of merit only, fulfilling the initial academic requirements followed by personal interview.
The candidates applying for the post at Sr.No.04 will be initially shortlisted based on educational qualification, height & weight criteria as per paramilitary force.
