RRC SR Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Level 1 Posts – Candidates should have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) or possess an ITI / NAC certificate issued by NCVT.
Level 2 & 3 Posts – Must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination. Candidates who have passed Matriculation with an ITI/Act Apprenticeship approved by NCVT/SCVT (for technical categories) are also eligible.
Level 4 & 5 Posts – A graduation degree from a recognized university is required.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2026)

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 25 years
Date of Birth Range: Candidates must be born between 2nd January 2001 and 1st January 2008.

Application Fee

Fee for all candidates: Rs.500/- (Rs 400 will be refunded duly deducting bank charges on appearing in the Trials)
For SC/ST/Women/ Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities/candidates: Rs.250/- (Rs 250/- will be refunded duly deducting bank charges on appearing in the Trials.)

RRC SR Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The RRC Southern Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 follows a transparent process to select the most deserving sportspersons. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in trials and evaluation of sports achievements and educational records. The complete selection process is explained below:
Stage 1 – Sports Trials

All eligible applicants will be called to participate in sports trials.
Performance, game skills, and physical fitness will be tested.
Trials carry 40 marks, and candidates must score a minimum of 25 marks to be declared FIT for the next stage.

Stage 2 – Assessment of Achievements & Education

Only those declared FIT in trials will be considered further.
Sports achievements will be evaluated for a maximum of 50 marks.
Educational qualifications will be assessed for up to 10 marks.
The final merit list will be prepared out of 100 marks based on both stages.
