The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official SSC CHSL Notification 2025 today on 23rd June 2025 for 10+2 Level Group C posts Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), and DEO Grade A in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices/Constitutional Bodies/and others. With the release of the official notification, the online application process started on the official website at www.ssc.gov.in and 12th pass candidates can apply. SSC CHSL 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification varies according to the post the candidate applying for. The educational qualification according to the vacancy applied is as follows:

(A) The basic requirement is a pass certificate in class 12th from a recognized board or university.
(B) For the post of DEO in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), applicants must have studied science and mathematics as the main subjects in Class 12th.

SSC CHSL 2025 Age Limit

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-01-2026 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 140l7 /70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1999 and not later than 01-01-2008 are eligible to apply.

SSC CHSL 2025 Application Fee

Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs. one hundred only). Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST), Persons with Disabilities(PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

SSC CHSL 2025 Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL exam consists of 2 tiers. The Tier 1 of the SSC CHSL exam pattern 2025 is a Computer based test (CBT). The candidates who clear tier 1 will be selected to appear for tier 2. Tier 1 in the SSC CHSL exam pattern is an objective type exam comprising 4 sections. It weighs a total of 200 marks which should be written in 60 minutes and 80 minutes for the PwD candidates. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.

Tier 2 in the CHSL exam pattern consists of 2 sessions. The first session covers the topics related to-

Session 2 in the Tier 2 module consists of a skill test/ typing test module. The scores of tier 2 are used for the final merit and selection of the candidates.
