UGC NET June 2025
National Testing Agency (NTA) has been released on 16 April 2025 on their official website of UGC NET NTA. Interested candidates can apply for the UGC NET Exam 2025 June Cycle from 16 April 2025. They must note that the last date to apply for UGC NET 2025 is 7 May 2025 through online mode only. Tentatively, the UGC NET NTA Exam 2025 will be conducted from 21 June to 30 June 2025. UGC NET Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates who comply with the eligibility criteria mentioned below can apply for the UGC NET June Exam 2025.
- Education: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories); final-year students can also apply.
Age limit
- JRF: Maximum 30 years (relaxation for reserved categories).
- Assistant Professor: No age limit.
Examination Fee
- Unreserved category candidates will need to pay an application fee of ₹1150, General-EWS/OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay ₹600, and ST/SC and third gender category candidates will need to pay ₹325.
- The application fee can be paid by using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
UGC NET 2025 Exam Pattern
- The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions. There will be no break between papers.
- Paper - 1: The questions in Paper I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate, with 100 marks & 50 questions and 3 hours (180 minutes) duration without any break.
- Paper - 2: This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge, with 200 marks & 100 questions and 3 hours (180 minutes) duration without any break.
UGC NET 2025 Syllabus and Subject of Test
- The List of UGC-NET subjects for June 2020 and their Codes are given at Annexure-III. The candidates may note that the syllabus has been modified and the new syllabus applicable from June 2019 on wards has also been notified through a public notice on NTA website.
- National Testing Agency will not provide the copy of syllabus to any candidate with below mention link.
Selection Process
- Final Selection will be based on Computer Based Test (CBT).

- Click on “UGC NET June 2025 Registration”: Find and select the registration link for new users.
- Complete Registration: Enter basic details to generate your application number and password.
- Fill the Application Form: Log in and provide personal, academic, and contact details.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned images of your passport-size photo and signature as per the specified format.
- Pay Application Fee: Make the payment through online mode (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI).
- Download Confirmation Page: After successful submission, download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
