The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) is looking for eligible and qualified candidates for the post of Artisan Trainee (Fitter), Artisan Trainee (Electrician), Artisan Trainee (Instrument Mechanic) and Assistant (Material/Storekeeper) Trainee. According to the official notification of NTPC Recruitment 2023, there are 34 vacant seats available for the given posts. The selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.21500. The maximum age limit is 37 years to apply for the above-mentioned posts. Candidates should have Xth pass + full-time regular ITI in relevant fields.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Artisan Trainee (Fitter): 10th pass + full-time regular ITI in Fitter trade
- Artisan Trainee (Electrician): 10th pass + full-time regular ITI in Electrician trade
- Artisan Trainee (Instrument Mechanic): 10th pass + full-time regular ITI in Instrument Mechanics/Electronics trade
- Assistant (Material/Storekeeper) Trainee: Full-time regular course in NCTVT (Storekeeping) OR – 10th Pass + ITI in (Fitter/Electrician/Electronics/Instrument Mech.) + English Typing 30WPM/150 keystrokes per minute
Age limit
- The maximum age for applying for the above posts for general category candidates shall be 37 yrs. as on the last date of application. Further age relaxations shall be extended to candidates belonging to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBD and XSM categories as per Govt. of India guidelines.
Selection Process
- As given in the official notification of NTPC Recruitment 2023, the eligible candidates will be required to take a 02-hour objective type multiple choice written assessment test that includes topic knowledge and an aptitude test. All shortlisted candidates will be required to take a skill test. The merit list of successful candidates for the subsequent skill test will be drawn based on their performance in the written test.
