The Staff Selection Commission - SSC has released the SSC MTS 2023 Notification on 18th January 2023 on its official website @ssc.nic.in. SSC has announced 11,409 vacancies this year through SSC MTS 2023 Notification. Candidates can apply for SSC MTS 2023 exam from 18th January 2023 to 17th February 2023. Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board as on or before the cut-off date i.e. 17-02-2023.
Age limit
- The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
- 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.01.1998 and not later than 01.01.2005) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
- 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.01.1996 and not later than 01.01.2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.
Application Fee
- Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Procedure for SSC MTS 2023
- The recruitment process for the post of MTS will consist of Session-I and Session-II in Computer Based Examination (CBE). The recruitment process for the post of Havaldar will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST).
How to Apply
- The Commission released the SSC MTS apply online link with the release of official notification. SSC MTS 2022-23 applications started with the release of official notification. The commission added the Havaldar post in the notification and the vacancies for the same were notified. SSC MTS 2022-23 applications will now close on February 17. The candidates are required to fill out the SSC MTS form 2022-23 online only. SSC Registration is a prerequisite for filling out the form online.

SSC MTS Scheme of Examination 2023
- Paper-1 is an online exam that is an objective multiple choice question type.
- Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination that includes writing a short essay or letter in English or any language is included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.
- Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills. Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.
- Paper-II is only qualifying in nature. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.
SSC MTS 2023 Paper Pattern
- The paper pattern for SSC MTS saw a change in the previous year’s session of the exam.
- The exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper 2.
- Paper 1 is conducted online while Paper 2 is pen and paper-based.
- SSC MTS Exam Pattern For Paper I:
- SSC MTS Paper I will have four sections.
- There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II
- The duration of the SSC MTS Exam will be 90 minutes for General Candidates and 120 minutes for PwD Candidates.
- Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQs out of which one will be correct.
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.

- Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving: 20 Questions | 60 Marks

- Walking: 1600 meters in 15 minutes (Male) | 1 m in 20 minutes (Female)
