Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway (WR) has 3612 vacant posts of apprentices for training in the designated Trades under the Apprentice Act 1961 at various Divisions, Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railways for the year 2022-23. The registration process will start tomorrow i.e. 28 May 2022 at rrc-wr.com.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

The Applicants should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of issue of this Notification i.e. 26/05/2022 as under:-

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Matriculate or 10th Class in 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in relevant trade.

Age limit

The Applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 27/06/2022.

Application Fee

Application fees (Non-refundable) – Rs. 100/-.
No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Women Applicants.

Selection Process

The Selection Process of RRC WR Apprentice Vacancy 2022 includes the following Stages:

Selection of the eligible Applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared to take the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with a minimum of 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
In case of two Applicants ·having the same marks the Applicants having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also the same, then the· Applicants who passed the matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first. There will be no written test or viva.

The Trade-wise/ Community – wise Merit List will be issued by the concerned Division/ Units for their Notified slots.
