The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the application forms for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2021. The application process has begun and will remain open till March 7. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website – ssc.nic.in. The Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. SSC CHSL 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Age Limit

  • Age limit for the posts is 18 to 27 years as on 01-01-2022 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004 are eligible to apply. )

Application Fee

  • Rs 100/- (Rs. one hundred only). Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST), Persons with Disabilities(PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

SSC CHSL 2021: Selection Process

  • Candidates need to pass through 3 Tiers in order to be eligible to get appointed in SSC CHSL exam. The selection process has been briefly mentioned in the table given below:
    • Tier – I: Objective Multiple Choice (Computer-Based (online)
    • Tier – II: Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (Pen and Paper mode)
    • Tier – III: Skill Test/Typing Test (Wherever Applicable)

  • Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in.

  • Dates for submission of online applications: 01-02-2022 to 07-03-2022
  • Last date and time for receipt of online applications: 07-03-2022 (23:00)
  • Last date and time for making online fee payment: 08-03-2022 (23:00)
  • Last date and time for generation of offline Challan: 09-03-2022 (23:00)
  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 10-03-2022
  • Dates of ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ and online payment of Correction Charges: 11-03-2022 to 15-03-2022 (23:00)

    • Time: 1 hour (80 Minutes for candidates eligible for scribes)

  • SSC CHSL (Tier 2)

    • Topics:
      • Essay Writing of 200 - 250 words Approx
      • Letter/Application Writing of 150-200 words Approx
    • Time: 1 Hour
    • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 33%
  • SSC CHSL (Tier 3)
    • Typing Test for LDC/ JSA and PA / SA: Candidates will be given a typing test of 30 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi to be completed in 10 minutes.
    • DEO: Candidates will be asked to type 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on a Computer (15000 for DEO in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India -C&AG) in 15 minutes. The printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 key-depressions (3700-4000 for DEO in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India - C&AG) would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.
  • SSC CHSL DV 2021
    • All the candidates qualified for Document Verification (DV) are required to appear for DV along with the photocopies and original documents.
    • Important Note: Physical Standard, Physical Efficiency Tests, and Medical Standards are required for the post of Lower Division Clerk in BRO.
