Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Assistant Keeper: (i) Master’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university or Institute. (ii) Diploma in Museology from a recognized university or Institute. DESIRABLE: At least one year’s experience of handling, maintaining and preserving specimens in a recognized museum.
Fisheries Research Investigation Officer: Masters Degree in Zoology with specialization in Fisheries or M.F.Sc or M.Sc in Marine Biology or M.Sc in Industrial Fisheries or M.Sc in Aquaculture or M.Sc in Fisheries Science from recognized University of Institute.
Principal Officer (Engineering) cum-Joint Director General (Technical): (i) Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I(Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and five year’s Service at sea of which one year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer. (ii) Certificate of competency of extra first class Engineer as Specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and Ten years’ of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipments on board such Ships. OR Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Operation and Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent and twelve years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipments on board such ships OR M.Sc degree in Maritime Affairs covering all aspects of ‘Administration of Maritime Safety and Environment Protection from the World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden or equivalent’ and twelve years experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such ships.

Age limit

33 years for Assistant Keeper
40 years for Fisheries Research Investigation Officer
50 years for Principal Officer (Engineering) cum-Joint Director General (Technical)

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

Selection Process

The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by interview, will be UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100.
In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by interview, the candidate will have to achieve minimum level of suitability in their respective category at Interview stage.
