Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Must hold a certificate of competency as per R. R. i) Must hold a certificate of competency as Master of foreign going ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India. ii) One-year post qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer of a foreign going ship.
- 60 years – preference shall be given to Pilots below the above age of 58 years. However, relaxable up to 65 years, considering the fact that a number of Mariners retired as Pilots from other Major Ports may be available to meet the requirement:
- Ex-Pilots of DPT, may also be considered for appointment as Pilots on contract basis.
Selection Process
- Final Selection will be based on personal interview.
