UPSC Asst Commissioner, Asst Professor & Others Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification:
- Assistant Commissioner (Cooperation/Credit): Master’s degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics or Economics or Commerce or Statistics from a recognized university or institute. Possessing three years experience in the field of cooperation or credit in a Government or a recognized cooperative or credit organization.
- 40 years
- Deputy Drugs Controller (I) (Medical Devices): Master’s Degree in Technology / Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Bio Technology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering with seven years’ experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/ Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Bio-Technology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering with nine years’ experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing.

- Assistant Drugs Controller (I) (Medical Devices): Master’s Degree in Technology/ Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Bio Technology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering with two years’ experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/ Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Bio-Technology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering with four years’ experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing.

- Assistant Professor: First Class Master Degree in Electrical Engineering. Teaching, research, industrial or professional experience in Electrical Engineering and Technology in the recognized Research Institutions or Universities or Semi Government or Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organisations or Institutions under the direct control of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories administration or Public Sector Undertakings.
- 35 years
- Additional Government Advocate: A person shall not be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to a duty post in Grade II, unless he holds a Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent and unless he has been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than thirteen years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than thirteen years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than thirteen years or is a qualified legal practitioner.

- Joint Secretary and Legal Adviser: A person shall not be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to a duty post in Grade I, unless he holds a Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent and unless he has been a member of the Indian Civil Service permanently allotted to the judiciary or of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than sixteen years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than sixteen years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than sixteen years.

- Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
UPSC Asst Commissioner, Asst Professor & Others Selection Process
- The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by an interview, will be UR-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PH-40 marks, out of the total marks of an interview being 100.
- In cases where the selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the interview, the candidate will have to achieve a minimum level of suitability in their respective category at both stages i.e. ‘Recruitment Test’ as well as ‘Interview’. The minimum level of suitability in the case of RT shall be decided by the Commission on the case to case basis.
