UGC NET July 2018
Central Board of Secondary Education - CBSE has released the official notification for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) exam 2018 for Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship &Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both recruitment. UGC NET Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions. For More details please read Official Notification.
- Age limit:
- JRF: Not more than 30 years as on 01.07.2018.
- Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
- Examination Fee: Rs. 1000/- for General Category & Rs. 500/- for Other Backward Classes.
UGC NET Selection Process
- Final selection will be based on written examination.
CBSE UGC NET Exam Pettern
- Paper: 1
- Questions: 100 (All are compulsory)
- Marks: 100
- Time: 1 Hour (09:30 AM to 10:30 AM) IST
- Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
- Paper: 2
- Questions: 100 (All are compulsory)
- Marks: 200
- Time: 2 Hours (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM) IST
- Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate
