Eligibility Criteria For 27 Field Ammunition Depot Recruitment 2018

  • Educational Qualification: 
    • LDC: 12th Class Pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
    • Fireman: Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board
    • Material Assistant: Graduate in any discipline from any recognised university or Diploma in Material Management or Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from any recognised institutions 
    • Tradesman Mate: Matriculation Class Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board 
    • MTS (Safaiwala): Matriculation Class Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board
  • Age limit: 18 to 25 years for all posts except for the post of Material Assistant and the post of Material Assistant is 18 to 27 years.

Physical Measurement for Fireman

  • Height: without shoes 165 cms (A concession of 2.5 cms shall be allowed for the members of schedule tribes) 
  • Chest (unexpanded): 81.5 cms 
  • Chest (expanded) -85 cms 
  • Weight - 50Kgs

Physical Endurance Test

  • Fireman
    • Run – 1.6 Km in 6 min 
    • Carrying a man of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds) 
    • Clearing 2.7 Mtrs wide ditch & landing on both feet (long jump)
    • Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet
  • Tradesman Mate
    • 1.5 Km run in 6 mins 
    • Carrying a weight 50 Kg to a distance of 200 meters in 100 sec

Selection Process

  • The candidates who fail to qualify in the' Physical/Practical/Skill test (wherever applicable) shall not be permitted to undergo written test. Physical / Practical / Skill test will be qualifying in nature which will not be counted for final merit . Possessing of typing speed is a pre-requisite for the post of LDC. However, in case of Physically Handicapped (PH) candidate, the individual will be permitted to join the appointment without passing the typing test, which he / she can pas? within a period of two years/probation period

Written Exam Syllabus & Pattern 

  • To reduce the number of candidates for written examination for one category of post, screening of applications will be carried out based on the percentage of marks obtained in the examination mandated as essential qualification required. Minimum ratio of 01:50 per post for each category to be maintained for such cut offs. A bench mark percentage will be fixed depending on the number of applicants. No screening of application is required in case of physical test wherever required. The candidates who fail to qualify in the physical test (wherever applicable) shall not be permitted to undergo written test. Skill test wherever applicable, will be conducted after written test and will be qualifying in nature. No weightage will be given for additional/ higher qualification. 
  • The Question Papers of written test (objective type) will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi as under:
    • General Intelligence and reasoning: 25 (Question) - 25 (Marks)
    • Numerical·aptitude: 25 (Question) - 25 (Marks)
    • General English: 50 (Question) - 50 (Marks)
    • General Awareness: 50 (Question) - 50 (Marks)

LDC Steno Test

  • Typing Proficiency (English typing @ 35 words per minute on computer or Hindi typing @ 30 words per minute corresponding to 10500/ 9000 key depression per hour (KDPH) on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.

How to Apply

  • Candidates will forward application properly sealed, in an envelope to the address mentioned against the post applied for, through Ordinary Post/ Registered Post / Speed Post. Application in person will not be accepted. Candidates are requested to superscribe the words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ………..” on the top of envelope while sending the application form.
  • Potocopy of the following Documents/ Certificate to be attached alongwith application duly self attested:-
    • Two Passport size latest photographs duly self attested, one on right corner of application and one on Acknowledgement Card.
  • Attested copies of the following certificates will also be submitted with application :-
    • Education Qualification Certificate.
    • Date of birth Certificate.
    • Caste certificate where applicable.
    • Discharge certificate for Ex-serviceman or NOC from the competent authority for serving Defence Personnel who are completing the prescribed period of Army Services within a year from the last date for receiving application.
    • Medical certificate (format attatched) issued by Central/ State Government medical board consisting of at least three members out of which at least one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing locomotor/ cerebral/ visual/ hearing disability and certifying the percentage of disability (i.e. 40 % and above).
    • Self addressed envelope affixing postal stamps of Rs. 25/-.
