Name of the Posts: Constables

Age limit: 18 to 25 years (as on 01/01/2015)

Educational Qualification: 12th (10+2) or equivalent from recognized board.

Driving License: Valid Driving license (Motor Car & Motor Cycle) is mandatory for all candidates (including Ex-servicemen) of the concerned licensing Authority. As a one time exception for the purpose of this recruitment only, this condition has been waived by IG/Chandigarh in respect of female candidates only.

Pay Scale: Rs. 10300 – 34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 3200 plus allowances

Physical Standards:

• Height: 170 cm (Male), 157.5 cm (Female) 
• Chest (only for male): 84-88 cm

Schedule of Fee: Rs. 500/- for General and OBC Candidates; No fee for SC and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Selection Process: Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test (PE & MT) and Written Test. The PE & MT test will tentatively start in the month of February, 2016 at Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh and IRB Complex, Sarangpur followed by Written Test. The candidates are advised to check the schedule for PE&MT in February-2016 on the website of Chandigarh Police.
