Selection Criteria for Sailor Post:
Selection of recruits is based on the order of metric on their performance in the written test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (Pft) & fitness in the Medical Examination.
Written Test for the post of Sailor:
- The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and of objective type and examination time will be one hour.
- The question paper will be comprise of four section i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
- The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 and candidate is required to passed in all section and aggregate.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- PFT is Mandatory for Selection
- PFT will consist of 1.6 km. run to be completed 7 minutes, 27 squats ups and 10 push ups
Medical Standard:
- Medical Examination: will be done by Military Doctors & must be in good physical & mental heath
- Minimum Height: 157 cms.
- Minimum Chest: 5 cms.
Visual Standard:
- Without Glasses: Better Eye: 6/12 & Worse Eye: 6/12
- With Glasses: Better Eye: 6/9 & Worse Eye: 6/12
