  • Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): 09 Posts
    • Matriculation or ITI from a recognized Board.

Sports Qualification: The candidates with the following qualifications shall be considered meritorious for the purpose of recruitment under sports quota.
  • Sportsmen who have represented a State or the country in the National or International competition in the sports/games shown above. 
  • Sportsmen who have represented their university in the inter university tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in the sports/games shown above.
  • Sportsmen who have represented the state schools team in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in the sports/games shown above.
  • Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Age limit: PA, SA, Postmen - Between  18 to 27 years & MTS - Between 18 to 25 years

Application Fee: All the Applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) only, in favour of “Chief Postmaster General, Rajasthan Circle” payable at the Post Office “Jaipur GPO, Jaipur-302001”. Original Indian Postal Order must be enclosed with the duly filled application form. The application fee paid through any other mode i.e., cheque/ Demand Draft/ UCR or any other mode will not be accepted and all such applications will be summarily rejected.

Selection process: Final selection will be based on written examination

GATE 2017
Indian Institute of Science (IISC) published notification for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), 2017. Online forms for GATE examination will be started from 01 September at official website. Admission to Postgraduate Courses (Master’s and Doctoral) in the country, with MHRD and other Government Scholarships / Assistantships in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science, is open to those who qualify in GATE You can view official notification by following link.

Name of Examination: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

Educational qualification: 
  • Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/ Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders of Architecture (Five years course) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders of Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • Holders of Four-year Integrated Master’s degree (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology and those in the second or higher year of such programs.
  • Holders of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree in Engineering / Technology and those in the fourth or higher year of such programs.
  • Holders of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.Sc./M.Sc. degree and those in the final year of such programs. 
  • Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Application Fee: Rs. 1500 for all other candidates, Rs. 750/- for the SC / ST / PwD category candidates; Rs. 750 for women candidates. The application fee has to be paid only online either through e-challan or through net banking.

Admit Card: The Admit Card can only be downloaded from the GATE portal from 5th January 2017 (tentative).

Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Fee should be paid separately for each category of post applied. All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen, eligible for reservation, are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.

Selection process:
  • The Government has dispensed with Interviews for Junior Level Posts. Accordingly, recruitment to Selection Posts will be through OMR/Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for OMR/Computer Based Examination based on the percentage of marks in Essential Qualifications as indicated by them in their application. Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:25, i.e. 25 candidates for every vacancy, subject to availability of sufficient number of eligible candidates. Candidates will be shortlisted by applying suitable cut off in the percentage of marks, in multiples of five. The number of candidates shortlisted may be slightly more or less due to the criteria of applying cut off in multiples of five. For the purpose of shortlisting of candidates for OMR/Computer Based Examination, the Commission will follow the yardstick adopted by the University/Institution and take into account the percentage of marks as indicated in the Final Year Marks Statement. The Commission will not take the responsibility of working out the percentage of marks by adding up the marks secured by the candidates in different subjects/each year of Graduation and instead take into account the percentage of marks / CGPA as indicated in the Final year mark statement. 
  • Where the Merit of the candidate is indicated in the Final Year Mark Statement in CGPA without indicating the corresponding percentage of marks, the Commission will follow the criteria indicated by the University/Institution in the Certificate, if any for arriving at the corresponding percentage. In all other cases, the Commission will apply the conversion formula of CGPA (as indicated in the Final Year Mark Statement) multiplied by (x) 9.5.
  • The criteria followed by the Commission in shortlisting candidates will be final. No appeal or representation will be entertained against such Shortlisting criteria. 
  • The information furnished by the candidates in their applications will be verified by the Commission with reference to the original documents after the OMR/Computer Based Examination. During verification of documents, if it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in the application is wrong, his/her candidature will be rejected forthwith. No appeal or representation against such rejection of candidature will be entertained. The candidates should ensure that they have furnished correct information in the application form.

Scheme of Examination: 
  • For posts with Matriculation as EQ, the examination will have 150 Question carrying one mark each, on the four components given below:- 
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning : 25 Questions
    • Numerical Aptitude : 25 Questions
    • General English : 50 Questions
    • General Awareness : 50 Questions
  • For posts with Higher Secondary as the EQ, Examination will have 200 Questions carrying one mark each as indicated below:-
    • General Intelligence : 50 Questions
    • Quantitative Aptitude : 50 Questions
    • English Language : 50 Questions
    • General Awareness : 50 Questions
  • For posts with Graduation in any subject & Graduate/Post Graduate Degree (with specialization in any subject) as the EQ, the Examination will have 200 questions, each carrying one mark, on the following subjects: 
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning : 50 Questions
    • General Awareness : 50 Questions
    • Quantitative Aptitude : 50 Questions
    • English Comprehension : 50 Questions
  • There will be Negative Marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. 
  • Skill Tests like Typing/Data Entry/Computer Proficiency Test, etc., where prescribed in the Essential Qualification, will be conducted, which will be of a qualifying nature.
  • Final Merit List will be drawn on the basis of performance in OMR/Computer Based Examination.
  • Resolution of TIE CASES.
  • In case two or more candidates secure same marks in the OMR/Computer Based Examination, the tie will be resolved by the following  procedure:
    • On the basis of date of birth with the older candidate being placed higher in merit.
    • Alphabetical Order of first names of the candidates.

How to apply: Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for above said posts. After filling up the Application Form Online and after making payment of Examination Fee, candidate should take a print out of the Application  Form, sign the same, affix a copy of the same photograph used for filling up online application and attach self-attested copies of Certificates/documents in support of age, Essential Qualifications, Experience, where it is prescribed as Essential Qualification, proof of Caste/Category [SC/ST/OBC/PH(PWD)/EXS – in the format as given in the Notice] issued by the Competent Authority and send the same to the Regional Director at the address mentioned below so as to reach the Regional Office within ten days from the last date prescribed for payment of fee.

In all other cases, the Commission will apply the conversion formula of CGPA (as indicated in the Final Year Mark Statement) multiplied by (x) 9.5.
  • The criteria followed by the Commission in shortlisting candidates will be final. No appeal or representation will be entertained against such Shortlisting criteria. 
  • The information furnished by the candidates in their applications will be verified by the Commission with reference to the original documents after the OMR/Computer Based Examination. During verification of documents, if it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in the application is wrong, his/her candidature will be rejected forthwith. No appeal or representation against such rejection of candidature will be entertained. The candidates should ensure that they have furnished correct information in the application form.

  • In case two or more candidates secure same marks in the OMR/Computer Based Examination, the tie will be resolved by the following  procedure:
    • On the basis of date of birth with the older candidate being placed higher in merit.
    • Alphabetical Order of first names of the candidates.
