Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

General Duty (GD): (i) Must Possess A Graduate Degree From An Accredited Institution. (ii) Physics and mathematics as subjects up to Intermediate, or class XII of the 10+2+3 educational plan, or its equivalent. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess a diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
Technical (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics): (i) A degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, or Aerospace is required, as is Engineering from an accredited university. OR The Institutes of Engineers (India) have recognized equivalent qualifications in any of the aforementioned fields as exempt from section “A” and “B” as well as their associate membership examination (AMIE). (ii) Should hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics. Selection Process

The selection of Assistant Commandants is based on an all India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidates in various stages (I – V) of examination (explained in detail below) and the number of vacancies available for the post. Selection Process

The selection process will be done through four stages.

Stage 4 – The candidates are to submit all the original documents and verification of all original documents through boards/universities/state government will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard. Medical Standard

Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Height standards may be reduced by upto 05 cms below 157 cms for candidates having domicile of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Height standards may be reduced by upto 02 cms for candidates having domicile of Lakshadweep.

Technical (Engineering & Electrical):

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Motor Transport Driver(OG): 10th Std. pass. Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles
Sheet Fitter: Should have completed apprenticeship in the trade (Sheet Metal Worker) from Industrial Training Institute or other recognized institutes.
Carpenter: Should have completed apprenticeship in the trade (Carpenter) from Industrial Training Institute or other recognized institutes OR should have 03 years’ experience in the trade
Lascar: Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized boards

Selection Process

Final Selection will be based on test/personal interview
