Educational Qualification

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree of Commerce (B.com)/ Chartered Accountant (C.A)/ Institute of Cost and Works Accounts (I.C.W.A)/ Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) or Company Secretary obtained from any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956;
    • The candidate possessing the requisite educational qualifications and other requirements for appointment, under the relevant recruitment rules of the post shall be eligible for admission to the examination: Provided that the candidate who has appeared at a degree examination, the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Preliminary Examination, but have not been informed of the result as also the candidate who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination shall also be eligible for admission to the Preliminary Examination. All the candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for appearing in the Main Examination shall be required to produce a proof of passing the required examination along with their application submitted for the Main Examination failing which such candidates shall not be admitted to the Main Examination, and a candidate shall fulfil the minimum age criteria at the date mention by the Commission in advertisement.
    • All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for appearing in the Main Examination (written) shall be required to produce proof of passing the degree examination along with their application for the Main Examination (written). A candidate who fails to produce the proof of passing the degree examination shall not be eligible for admission to the Main Examination (written).
  • possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classfication and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and 
  • possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. 

Age limit

  • A candidate shall not be less than 20 years of age and not be more than 37 years of age as on 21/04/2026. Age will be calculated as on the last date of receipt of application. 

Application Fee

  • Candidates of General category have to pay Rs. 100/- + applicable postal charges, while Candidates belonging to reserved categories and Economically Weaker Section of Unreserved category of Gujarat state and Ex. Serviceman and P.H. Candidates do not need to fees. While candidates of reserved category of other states have to pay prescribed application fee.
