Director General, Border Security Force (BSF), Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India has released the latest notification for the recruitment of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) Group-A Posts (Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) Comatised in Veterinary Wing in BSF for the Vacancy Year 2022. Eligible Male and Female candidates can apply online for the BSF Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Vacancy 2022-23 from the website rectt.bsf.gov.in starting from December 10, 2022. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The candidate must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry or equivalent from a recognized University with registration in the Veterinary Council of India.
Note: Candidates not in possession of requisite educational qualification certificate or appearing in the examination/awaiting result/not in possession of certificate of registration from the Veterinary Council of India need not to apply.

Age limit

Male and female candidates between 23 to 30 years of age.

Application Fee

Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Commandant (Water Wing) to pay Rs.400/- (Rupees Four hundred only) as examination fee through any of the online payment modes.

Selection Process

The Selection Procedure consists of following two phases-

First Phase : In this phase, candidates will have to go through below mentioned steps.

Second Phase : In this phase, candidates will have to clear the tests given below.

800 Meters Race: In 3 Minutes 45 Seconds (M) | In 4 Minutes 45 Seconds (F)
Long Jump: 3.5 Meters ( 3 chances to be given) (M) | 3.0 Meters ( 3 chances to be given) (F)
Shot put ( 7.26 Kgs): 4.5 Meters (M) | Not applicable (F)
Note: All events of PET shall be qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to qualify all events of PET independently. Failing in any of the events shall be a disqualification.
