UPSC CMS 2022 Notification Out
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Combined Medical Services (CMS) 2022 today on its website. UPSC CMS Recruitment 2022 Exam online applications have been started on the official website of UPSC .i.e. upsc.gov.in. Candidates can submit their applications for UPSC CMS Exam 2022 latest by 26 April 2022. However, The online Applications can be withdrawn from 04 May 2022 to 10 May 2022 till 6.00 PM. A total of 687 vacancies are to be filled up through this recruitment process.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- For admission to the examination a candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.
- NOTE-1: A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final M.B.B.S. Examination may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the written and practical part of the final M.B.B.S. Examination along with the detailed application which will be required to be submitted to the Commission by the candidates who qualify on the result of the written examination. Such proof of passing the requisite examination should be dated earlier than the due date (closing date) of Detailed Application Form of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2022.
- Note-2: A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.
Age limit
- A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August, 2022, i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1990.
Application Fee
- Candidates (Except Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay of fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written exam followed by a personality test, document verification, and a medical exam. The written exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) featuring 500 marks. It will be divided into two papers with each carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each paper will be held for a duration of two hours. While the paper will feature questions from general medicine and pediatrics, paper II will have questions from surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, and preventive and social medicine. The medium of paper will be English only and there is no negative marking.
