Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Qualification: As per cl. 2.6 (1) of GERC (CGRF and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2/2019, the Chairperson of the Forum shall be a retired district judge/a retired senior judicial officer or a retired civil servant not below the rank of Collector or a retired electrical engineer not below the rank of Superintending Engineer or Equivalent and having at least twenty (20) Years of experience, with adequate knowledge of power sector. Experience related to consumer affairs will be preferred. Provided that the Chairperson shall preferably have working knowledge of the vernacular language of the State of Gujarat.
- Experience: Having at least 20 (Twenty) years of experience with adequate knowledge of power Sector and Experience related to consumer affairs will be preferable.
Age limit
- As per Clause 2.10 of GERC (CGRF and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2019, No person above the age of 65 years shall be appointed as the Chairperson.
Selection Process
- Final Selection will be based on written exam / personal interview.
