India Post Gujarat Recruitment 2020

Indian Postal Circle - IPC published has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Postman/ Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff against the vacancies reserved for Sports Quota Recruitment in Gujarat Postal Circle. The applications will be received through the online mode at indiapost.gov.in from 10 July 2020.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant: 10 + 2 Standard or 12th class pass from a recognized Board.
Postman/Mailguard: 12th class pass from a recognized Board and having knowledge of Local Language (Gujarati). The candidate should have studied local language at least up to 10th standard.
Multi-Tasking Staff: 10th class pass from a recognized Board and having knowledge of Local Language (Gujarati). The candidate should have studied local language at least up to 10th standard.

Age limit

Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant (PA / SA) and Postman/ Mail Guard: 18 to 27 years (as on 31/07/2020)
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): 18 to 25 years (as on 31/07/2020)

Application Fee

The applications shall have to pay Application Fee of Rs.120/- (One Hundred Twenty Only) and the fees already paid will be valid for previously applied applicants.

Selection Process

The Selection of candidates should be done based on the preferences set by the officials. They are as follows:

First Preference - INTERNATIONAL competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports
Second Preference - State/Union Territory in the Senior or Junior Level National Championship
Third Preference - represented a University in an Inter-University competition
Fourth Preference - represented the State Schools in the National Sports/Games
Fifth Preference - awarded National Award in physical efficiency
Sixth Preference - represented a State/Union Territory /University/ State School Teams
