Indian Air Force has published the short notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2019 for the courses commencing in January 2021 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) Branch.. Eligible Men and Women can apply online for AFCAT 2020.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Flying: Bachelor Degree in any Stream with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 Level / BE/ B.Tech Course With 60% Marks.
Ground Duty Technical:

Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) : Candidates Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) Exam with 60% Marks in Physics and Math Minimum 4 Year Graduation / Integrated PG Degree in Engineering / Technology.
Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) : Candidates Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) Exam with 60% Marks in Physics and Math and 4 Year Engineering / Technology Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering.

Ground Duty Non Technical Eligibility Details

Administration & Logistics:

Bachelor Degree in any Stream with 60% Marks.
Physical Eligibility : Height Male : 157.5 CM. | Height Female : 152 CM.

Accounts:

Bachelor Degree in Commerce B.Com with 60% Marks.
Physical Eligibility : Height Male : 157.5 CM. | Height Female : 152 CM.

Education:

MBA / MCA / MA / M.Sc. Degree with 50% Marks.
Physical Eligibility : Height Male : 157.5 CM. | Height Female : 152 CM.

Meteorology: Master Degree in any Stream From any Recognized University

NCC Special Entry (Flying): NCC Air Wing Senior Division "C" Certificate and Other Details as Per Flying Branch Eligibility.

Age limit

Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-technical) Branches : 20 to 26 years

Selection Process for AFCAT 2020 (as per AFCAT 2019)

Candidates will be selected on the basis of AFCAT written examination, Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Discussion test, Psychological test and Group tests / Interview.

AFCAT 2020 Physical Fitness Test:

Candidates will be required to complete 1.6km run in stipulated time frame of 9 Min, 100 Meter run in 16 sec, furthermore 20 Pushup and Sit-ups in 1 minute, should be able to do 3 chin-ups and should be able to swim 25 meter.
