Educational Qualification
- A Search Committee appointed by the Government of Gujarat for the appointment of Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University is seeking applications/nominations, with the intent to widen the search process, from eminent educationist from the field of Engineering and Technology, prominent technologist, renowned administrator, industrialist, having vision for human resource development for consideration for the said position. Person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment is to be appointed as Vice Chancellor. The person to be appointed as a Vice Chancellor should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years’ of experience as Professor in a university or ten years’ of experience in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership can apply/ be nominated. Present and former Vice-Chancellors, Director/Head of Institutions of Higher Learning/Research Institutions and eminent scholarly persons are invited to nominate.
Selection Process
- Nominees would be shortlisted based on agreed parameters & as per the policy of Gujarat Technological University Act and UGC notification
