Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

A Bachelor’s degree of any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission act, 1956;
The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967;
Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age limit

Not more than 35 years

Selection Process

The Competitive Examination shall comprise of two successice stages:-

Preliminery Examination (objective type) for the selection of candidates for Main examination; and
Main Examination (written) for final selection of candidates for the post of Chief Officer, Class-III.

Municipal Chief Officer Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2018

Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination shall consist of one paper of objective type (Multiple Choice Questions) and carry a maximum of 150 total marks. T

The preliminary Examination shall consist of one paper of total 150 marks as follow:-

General Studies: 150 Marks & 75 Minutes

Main Examination:

The Main Examination shall consist of Written Examination. The Written Examination shall consist of three papers.
The marks obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination shall determine their final ranking.
The Scheme and subjects of Main Examination shall consist of the following papers:-

Paper - 1: Gujarati (Descriptive): 100 Marks (3 Hours)
Paper - 2: English (Descriptive): 100 Marks (3 Hours)
Paper - 3: General Studies (Descriptive): 200 Marks (3 Hours)
Total: 400 Marks
