ITBP Recruitment - Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India published notification for recruitment male & female Indian citizens (including citizens of Nepal & Bhutan) for filling up vacancies to the posts of Head Constable (Education & Stress Counsellor), Group 'C' (non-Gazetted & non Ministerial), on temporary basis likely to be pennant in lTBPF. Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Psychology as a subject or Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent.

Age limit: 20 to 25 years (as on 22/04/2016 - Not born before 22/04/1991 and later than 22/04/1996)

Pay Scale: PB-I, Pay Scale Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,400/- per month.

Application Fee: The candidates belonging to General and OBC category shall be required to pay Rs 50/- (Non refundable) as application fee in form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of the authority mentioned at para-8 above for each post. Number and date of IPO should be mentioned on application fonn at eannarked space.

Selection Process:

  • Height Bar Test: At the very beginning of recruitment process, candidates shall be asked to go through the height bar test. The candidates not meeting the prescribed height shall be eliminated. 
  • Race: The candidates, who qualify the Height Bar Test, shall be subjected to qualify 1.6 Kms race to be completed within 10 minutes (for male) and 12 minutes (for female) candidates before appearing for further tests. No marks will be awarded for this test and it will be only qualifying in nature. Departmental candidate who has qualified Physical Efficiency Test(PST) at the time of their appointment in the Force and Ex Service Men are not required to appear in the 1.6 Kms Race.
  • Checking of documents: The original documents of candidates, who qualify the race, will be checked by the Board. Original documents will be returned on the spot after verification and self attested copies will be retained with the application fonn. Those who clear this stage will go to Physical Standard Test (PST).
  • Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates found eligible in documentation will be screened for height, chest (chest measurement for male candidates only) and weight measurements by the Board. Those who do not meet the required physical measurements shall be eliminated at this stage.
  • Written Examination (100 Marks):  The candidates qualified in PST shall be required to pass the written examination (Objective type-OMR Based) consisting of the following:

Merit List: Merit lists in each category namely, UR (General), SC, ST, OBC and Ex-servicemen shall be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination.

  • Eye Sight: The minimum distance vision shall be 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing spectacles or lenses.

  • A colour blind person shall not be eligible for recruitment. If a person is found to be colour blind at any stage ofservice career, he/she shall be boarded out as per SHAPE policy in vogue in the Force; 
  • The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins or squint in eyes; 
  • Must be in mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties and 
  • Tattoo: Any candidate with a small engrave/tattoo of name or religions symbol (size must be less than 1\4 of the particular part of Elbow or Hand of the body) on the inner side of the arms or hands is permitted for recruitment. Candidates having permanent tattoo on any part of the body shall be debated for recruitment;

How to apply: Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects, in the prescribed format as per Annexure-'I'. The application should either be type written or neatly hand written with blue-black ink or ball pen on one side only, on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed at appropriate place on the application form.
