Name of the Posts, Educational Qualification & Pay Scale:
- Professors: 13 Posts
- An eminent scholar with consistently good academic records and with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned /allied / relevant discipline with a number of high quality research publications in reputed journals and/or publication of books.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/ + Grade Pay Rs. 10000/-
- Associate Professors: 24 Posts
- Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned /allied / relevant disciplines.
- A Master’s degree in concerned / allied / relevant disciplines with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scales wherever grading system is followed).
- At least second class “Three Years” Bachelor’s degree with Honours / Major in the relevant / allied subject.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 9000/-
- Assistant Professors: 48 Posts
- Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scales wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree in the relevant disciplines.
- At least second class “Three Years” Bachelor’s degree with Honours / Major in the relevant / allied subject.
- The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the UGC like SET/SLET.
- However, the candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. degree)
- Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the Minimum Eligibility Condition of NET/SLET/SET.
- NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6000/-
Application fees:
- Rs.1000/- for the post of Professor (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBCB candidates)
- Rs. 800/- for the post of Associate Professor (Rs.400/- for SC/ST/OBCA/OBC-B candidates)
- Rs. 600/- for the post of Assistant Professor (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates).
Bank draft drawn in favor of University of North Bengal payable at the NBU Campus Branch of the State Bank of India should be attached with the application form.
