Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

Joint Secretary and Legislative Counsel (Hindi Branch): 01 Post

Master’s degree in Law (LLM) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act; a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government;
Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of thirteen years; Or Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for thirteen years; Or Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for thirteen years; Or Should have been a qualified legal practitioner* who has practiced as such for thirteen years; Or Should have been a teacher of Law for thirteen years in a recognized Institution; Or Should have thirteen years’ experience of translation into Hindi of statutes, statutory rules and orders in Central Government or State Government; Or Should have thirteen years’ experience of drafting of statutes in Central / State Government; OR (B) (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act; a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government;(ii) Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of fifteen years; Or Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for fifteen years; Or Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for fifteen years; Or Should have been a qualified legal practitioner* who has practiced as such for fifteen years; Or Should have been a teacher of Law for fifteen years in a recognized Institution; Or Should have fifteen years’ experience of translation into Hindi of statutes, statutory rules and orders in Central Government or State Government; Or Should have fifteen years’ experience of drafting of statutes in Central Government or State Government; and (iii) Passed Secondary School Examination or any higher Examination from a recognized board or university or Institution through Hindi medium or had offered Hindi as a subject in Secondary School Examination or any higher examination from a recognized board or university or any institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government

Tech or ME / M.Tech and Ph. D or equivalent with specialization in Soil Mechanics/Foundation Engineering/Geo Technical Engineering /Soil Dynamics/Transportation Engineering.
Post Ph. D publications and guiding Ph. D student is highly desirable.

Selection Process: Selection will be made by recruitment test followed by interview.

Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

How to Apply: Eligible Candidates must apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. & Candidates must upload documents pertaining to educational qualification(s) and experience (preferably in prescribed format), if any, as claimed in the online application, in a single pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 2 MB and is legible when a printout taken. For that the applicant may scan the experience certificate in 200 dpi grey scale. Documents like Pay Slip, Resume, Appointment Letter, Relieving Letter, Un-signed Experience Certificate etc. must not be uploaded in the Document Upload Module.
