- Group X:
- Intermediate or 10+2 Pass with Maths / Physics & English subject from recognized Board.
- Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumental Technology / 3 year Engineering course in ITI from a recognized Government Polytechnic college or institute.
- Group Y:
- Intermediate / 10+2 Pass from State or Central Government Education Board.
- 10 + 2 method CBSE / State Education Board / Council organized by the 2-year vocational course, with all subjects from All India University.
