Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the RRB JE examination every year to hire Junior Engineers and other positions through their specific selection process. RRB JE 2025 Eligibility Criteria Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a citizen of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination provisionally. However, the Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India has to be submitted during Document Verification, failing which his/her candidature shall be rejected.
Educational Qualification

- Candidates must already have the educational/technical/professional qualifications prescribed in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the last date (i.e., 30.11.2025) for submission of ONLINE application.
- Those awaiting results of their final examination of the prescribed educational / technical / professional qualification SHOULD NOT apply.
- NOTE: The educational/technical/professional qualification certificates viz. Provisional or Regular Certificates should contain the date of issue. In case, date of issue of these certificates is after the closing date of the notification, then the consolidated marks sheet with date of declaration of the final qualifying exam or individual mark sheets of all the semesters/years with date of declaration of each semester /year result should be submitted. In case of non-availability of date in any of these certificates, then a certificate indicating date of declaration of result from the Board/University to this effect should be produced at the time of DV.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
- The age limit of applicants willing to apply for the RRB Junior Engineer Exam 2025 should be as under:
- Minimum Age Limit – 18 years
- Maximum Age Limit – 33 years
RRB JE Recruitment 2025 Application Fees
- The candidates have to pay the required RRB JE Application Fees to apply for RRB JE Recruitment. The category-wise application fees as per the previous notification have been tabulated. The fees have to be paid through online mode only before the last date to submit RRB JE Application Form:
- Unreserved: Rs. 500/-
- SC / ST / Minorities / EWS: Rs. 250/-
- Ex-Serviceman / PwBDs / Female / Transgender: Rs. 250/-

- As mentioned in the previous year's RRB JE Notification, the selection of the candidates will be done through 4 different phases. The candidates have to qualify in each stage to get shortlisted for Railway JE 2025 Recruitment.
- Stage 1- 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-I)
- Stage 2- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
- Stage 3- Document Verification
- Stage 4- Medical Examination
How to Fill Up RRB JE Recruitment 2025
- Candidates who want to apply for the RRB Junior Engineer Recruitment 2025 should follow the given steps to successfully submit their application-
- Visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
- Find the ‘Careers’ section and click on the ‘latest advertisement’.
- A new page will open “05 of 2025-(28/10/2025)”.
- Look for the ”Apply Online For Various Posts” button and proceed by clicking it.
- On appearing on the next page, you’ll see the option for “Sign up for New Registration”
- Complete the next step by submitting all the details, such as name, photo, educational certificate, experience certificate, and other important information.
- After filling out the information, click on the “Submit”.
- Submit the application form, download it, and take a printout for future reference.
