Educational qualification & Age limit (as on 24/08/2016):
- Account Officer & Commercial Tax officer: A candidate shall hold C.A. OR Cost and Works Accountant (I.C.W.A.) OR C.S. degree OR second class degree of B.B.A. OR B.Com OR B.Sc. in Mathematics or Statistics as a principal subject OR B.A. in Statistics or Economics or Mathematics as a principal subject OR B.C.A. of any University incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State Legislature in India or other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by Government.

- Senior Town Planner:
- Possess a degree in Architecture or Civil engineering obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or any other equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Architects Act, 1972 ; and
- A post graduate degree or post graduate diploma in City planning or Town planning or Regional planning or Traffic and Transportation planning or Urban Design or Urban planning or Infrastructure
- planning or Industrial planning obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or institution recognised by All India Council for Technical Education or a membership obtained by examination of Institution of Town Planners of India, New Delhi; and
- Have about 08 years experience after obtaining the requisite educational qualification on the post not below the rank of Junior Town Planner, Class II, in the General State Service under the Town Planning and Valuation Department; Or
- Have about eight years separate or combined experience after obtaining the requisite educational qualification in the field of City Planning or Town Planning or Regional Planning or Traffic and Transportation Planning or Urban Design in Government or Local bodies or Government undertaking
- Board or Corporation or Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Junior Town Planner, class II, in the General State Service under the Town Planning and Valuation Department ; and Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967;
- Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both not be more than 42 years

- Agricultural Officer:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Agriculture) of a recognized University

- Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General ) Rules,1967.
- Not more than 35 years
- Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 ( Grade pay- Rs. 4400)
- Veterinary Officer: possess a degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) or a degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry (BVSc or AH) from any of the Universities established or incorporeted by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956 and have been recognized under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.
- Not more than 35 years.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300/--Rs. 34800/- ( Grade pay- Rs. 4,600)
- Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector:
- Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 yrs. course) or Diploma in Automobile Engineering (3 yrs. course) or
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or Automobile Engineering of a recognized University or deemed university.
- The candidate shall possess a motor driving license of motor cycle and light motor vehicles at the time of appointment.
- The Candidate shall obtain a driving license of heavy goods vehicles or heavy passenger motor vehicles during the stipulated period of service on contractual basis.
- The candidate shall possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
- The candidate shall possess the following minimum physical standards: (i) For Male candidate: height not less than 162 centimeters(for Schedule Tribes of Gujarat Origin height 155 centimeters) and minimum chest measurement of 79 centimeters deflated and weight 50 Kg. (ii) For Female candidate: height not less than 158 centimeters (for Schedule Tribes of Gujarat Origin height 151 centimeters) and weight 45 Kg. (iii) A candidate shall not be color blind and have clear vision with or without glasses. (Above mentioned physical standatrds will be verified at commission’s office)
- Not less than 19 years and not more than 35 years
- Social Welfare Officer:
- post graduate Degree in Social Work OR Rural Study OR Rural Management OR Sociology OR a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management obtained from any of the Uni. Established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, or any other educational institution organized as such or declared to be Deemed as a Uni. Under section-3 of the UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government, and (ii) Have about three years experience on the post not below the rank of Social Welfare Inspector, Class-III, in the subordinate service of the Directorate of Scheduled Castes Welfare, Gujarat state, or (iii) Have about three years experience in the Govt. organization or local bodies or Govt. undertaking, Board or Corporation or Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 or the institution or non-Government organization working in the field of Social Work on the post of Welfare Assistant or welfare Officer which can be considered equivalent to the not below the rank of Social Welfare Inspector, Class-III, in the subordinate service of the Directorate of Scheduled Castes Welfare, Gujarat state, or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Rural Study or Rural Management OR Sociology with principal subject obtained from any of the Uni. Established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, OR any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a Uni. Under section-3 of the UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government, and (ii) Have about Five years experience on the post not below the rank of Social Welfare Inspector, Class-III, in the subordinate service of the Directorate of Scheduled Castes Welfare, Gujarat state, or (iii) ) Have about Five years experience in the Govt. organization or local bodies or Govt. undertaking Board or Corporation or Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 or any institution or non Government organization working in the field of Social Work on the post of Welfare Assistant or welfare Officer which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Social Welfare Inspector, Class-III, in the subordinate service under the Directorate of Scheduled Castes Welfare, Gujarat state.
