Name of the Posts: Probationary Officers (PO)
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Age Limit: Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01/04/2015
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on online examination.
Exam Pattern:
Paper - I: (Preliminary Exam) Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:
- English Language - 30 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude - 35 Marks
- Reasoning Ability - 35 Marks
- Total - 100 Marks
Phase II: (Main Exam) Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered. This exam consists of the following tests:
- Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
- Test of General Awareness, Marketing &Computers
- Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Test of Reasoning (High Level) and
- Descriptive Test (Letter Writing & Essay).
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- for ST / SC / PWD and Rs. 600/- for General & other.
How to Apply: Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card / credit card /Internet Banking.
