IB MTS Recruitment 2025

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, through the Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has begun the recruitment process for the Multi-Tasking Staff (General) post. As per the official notice, IB plans to hire 362 MTS (General) staff across 37 Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (SIBs). Most vacancies are located at the IB headquarters in Delhi, while the remaining posts are spread across different SIBs in the country.

IB MTS Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification

Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board and
Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied on closing date of application, i.e. 14.12.2025.

IB MTS 2025 Age Limit

18-25 years as on closing date i.e. 14.12.2025

IB MTS Application Fee

The fee structure is as follows:

General, OBC, EWS male candidates: Rs 650
SC, ST, female, PwBD candidates: Rs 550

Fees can be paid through online methods like UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards, or through an SBI challan.

IB MTS Selection Process 2025

The IB MTS recruitment includes two exam stages.

Tier I is an online objective test that checks general knowledge, maths skills, reasoning ability, and English basics. It tests both speed and understanding.
Candidates who score above the cut-off will be called for Tier II, which is a descriptive English exam. This round checks writing skills, clarity, and language usage.
Those who pass Tier II with the required marks will move to document verification and a medical check.
